Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be competent in:
• designing an extensive, coherent and comprehensive sales or service concept for a particular lifestyle group.
• applying the principles of shop interior design and window-dressing.
• using 3D modelling software.
• understanding the significance of sales work and other customer service to the business image of a company.
• compiling a portfolio representative of their work and in writing a project report.

Contents
Shop Interior Design
• Shop/business premises concepts: lighting, materials, furnishings, customer consultation, planning product selections, purchasing activities and modelling space
• Service and relations marketing: networks, customer service, internal marketing
Window-dressing
• Designing and decorating a shop window
• Decorating materials and putting things on display in a shop
• Designing campaigns and preparation from the point of view of a window-dresser
• Using colour in shop windows and decorating materials as well as lighting
