Learning Outcomes
Students are introduced to their professional field, become aware of the role of construction industry in Finnish national economy and learn about internationalisation options in the field. Students understand the requirements and possibilities involved in higher education studies; they know how to plan their studies and are familiar with the study practices. Students make active use of the counselling and guidance services provided; they know how to use the library and how to search information networks, and are introduced to e-learning. Students know the structure of their curriculum and are able to make independent choices concerning their education and career and to plan the progress of their studies. Students are able to identify and develop their study skills and resources. The student can analyze his information need. He can specify and use subject-specific information and apply the SeAMK instructions for written work.
