Learning Outcomes
The overall aim of this practical training is to familiarise students with essential work duties in the field of construction and to provide them an opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge in practice. Another aim is to integrate theoretical knowledge and practice and give a realistic overview of the requirements and practices of construction field.

Contents
Familiarisation with work duties, construction techniques, occupational safety and various workplace practices in the field of construction. Students draw up a plan for their practical training period, to be complemented together with the lecturer and workplace supervisor, and assessed at the end of the period. Students also regularly write learning diaries throughout the practical training period.

Assessment Methods
Report on practical training. The assessment is based on the attainment of the aims set. The emphasis is on the student’s professional growth. Assessment pass/fail.
Further Information
The minimum extent of the practical training period is 5 cr. During the first and second year of study, students may undertake a maximum of 15 cr of practical training.
