Learning Outcomes
The student recognises the characteristics of academic text and is able to utilise the features of scientific academic text in their writing. The student is familiar with the in-text citation practices and understands their significance in academic texts. The student recognizes the structure of scientific texts and is able to interpret it.

Assessment Criteria
Pass:
The structure of the scientific text produced by the student is mainly clear. In written assignments, the student chiefly masters the style of scientific writing. The student mainly uses source literature and in-text citations following the established practices of scientific referencing. The student's argumentation is varied and convincing. Their text consists chiefly of good and polished language. The students masters the Finnish grammar, though may make some grammatical errors.
