Learning Outcomes
Students will learn the principles and structures of project work and research, development and innovation (RDI) activities. They will become familiar with various project stages, multiprofessional collaboration and problem-solving. Students will learn to develop services/RDI projects, starting from the clients' needs. Students will gain a practical overview of project work, RDI activities and of the principles of this work. They will learn to implement a project/part of a project and understand how project work can be useful as a tool in developing their work/the work community.

Introduction to project work 2 cr
Contents
Writing and presenting a project plan; project report and seminar presentation, poster and seminars. The whole course, 5 cr, consists of R & D studies.

Assessment Criteria
Assessment criteria
Level 1 (grade 1-2)
Students still have a narrow idea of the stages of project work/RDI process. Students are able to implement and present a project. Their report and poster mainly abide by the instructions given for written assignments.
Level 2 (grade 3-4)
Students' report is proof of their command over the project process/RDI activities. Students reflect on their further development needs. With assistance from lecturers and/or worklife experts, they are capable of independent project work.
Level 3 (grade 5)
Students implement a successful project/RDI undertaking in collaboration with worklife representatives. The project outcome will create new practices in the target organization. The students' report and poster are of high quality.
Assessment Methods
Numerical grade for the project report and seminar presentation.
Presenting the results to the work community. Poster and active participation in the seminars.
