Learning Outcomes
Students will learn to identify demographic, historial, cultural, economic and public health-related factors that affect elderly clients' position and welfare. Students will understand how resource-oriented work supports the welfare of elderly people.
They will learn to analyse social problems and become aware of
factors that cause social exclusion. Students will learn to apply the recommendations of the most important age political target and action programmes to promote welfare, to prevent social exclusion and to increase clients' resources. Students will learn to critically look at the conceptions of old people's social problems commonly presented in media.
