Learning Outcomes

The students will be able to name the current national and the most significant international recommendations on health promotion (exercise, nutrition, clinical practice guidelines) and know how to apply them when counselling/guiding people of all ages on health promotion; they will become aware of principles and methods pertaining to health counselling and guidance and
learn to use a motivating approach to health counselling situations. They will understand the concepts and principles in sports didactics and apply various methods to promote the health and functional capacity of their clients, whether individual or groups, in a goal-oriented manner; know theories of motor learning and apply them when counselling groups and individual clients; with help of videos, study and assess their own counselling skills and client's ability to change motor function with help of training; know the basics of massage and learn to apply basic massage grips in various situations; become familiar with the principles of mobilization and stabilization and learn to mobilise/stabilise limb joints in physiotherapy situations in an appropriate and justified manner; know the basic principles of therapeutic exercise and know how to apply methods of therapeutic exercise in their work with individual clients or groups.

Students make use of important national and international recommendations on health promotion when counselling patients/clients in various physiotherapy situations. They have a strong command over principles and methods used in health counselling and guidance. Students know the important concepts and theories in motor learning and are able to concretize them in counselling situations. They can name factors that are essential to motor learning and apply them competently when counselling individual clients/patients or groups. Students are familiar with basic concepts in sports didactics and with principles of sports instruction and apply them in various situations couselling individuals and groups. Students are able to list important methods and principles of therapeutic exercise and use them approriately in physiotherapy situations. They are familiar with the theoretical background of massage and use basic massage grips in a flexible and appropriate manner in various therapy situations. Students know the basic principles in mobilization and they know how to mobilise limb joints in a justified, appropriate manner in various therapy situations.

They can name some factors that are essential to motor learning and randomly apply them when counselling individual clients/patients or groups. Students are familiar with most basic concepts in sports didactics and with the principles of sports instruction and apply them to some extent in common situations couselling individuals and groups. Students can list some methods and principles of therapeutic exercise and apply them mechanically in familiar physiotherapy situations. They are partly familiar with the theoretical background of massage and use some basic massage grips in various therapy situations. Students know some basic principles of mobilization and with help of instructions, they are able mobilise limb joints in various therapy situations.
