Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to name factors that affect the individual's functional capacity and social engagement, with special reference to crime and substance abuse. They will know where to seek information of intoxicant abuse and criminal behaviour. Under supervision, students reflect on their values, attitudes and actions.

Assessment Criteria

Grade 1-2:
Students are able to name factors, which affect the individual's functional capacity and social engagement from the perspectives of intoxicant abuse and criminality. Students know where to seek information of drug and alcohol use, intoxicant abuse and crime. Under supervision, students will reflect on their values, attitudes and actions.
Grade 3-4:
Students are able to explain factors, which affect the individual's functional capacity and social engagement in the context of intoxicant abuse and criminal behaviour. Students know how to make observations and seek relevant information. They reflect on their conceptions pertaining to the use and abuse of intoxicants and to criminal behaviour. Students are able to reflect on their values, attitudes and actions from the perspective of professional ethics.
Grade 5:
Students extensively analyse factors, which affect the individual's functional capacity and social engagement in the context of intoxicant abuse and criminal behaviour. Students are able to explain causes and consequences of intoxicant abuse at the levels of the individual, community and society. They know how to make observations and seek information with a critical and analytical eye. They reflect on their conceptions of use and abuse of intoxicants and of criminal behaviour from multiple perspectives. Students analyse and evaluate their values, attitudes and actions from the perspective of professional ethics. They see their clients as unique individuals.

Assessment Methods

The assessment will be based on the following components: assignment based on literature, independent search of information, group work, discussions and summaries written in small groups. Preliminary learning assignment.
