Learning Outcomes
LEARNING COMPETENCE, INNOVATION COMPETENCE
Students will learn self-directively, together in the group and share their learning experiencies with their own group. Students are competent in evaluating and developing their competencies and learning styles. Students are able to search and process evidence-based knowledge of health promotion of people of different ages.
ETHICAL COMPETENCE, CUSTOMERSHIP IN NURSING COMPETENCE
Students will learn to look at how their own values are constructed and identify conceptions of human nature. They will become aware of the value foundation of nursing and understand the meaning of profession-specific ethical principles in the area of health promotion.
HEALTH PROMOTION COMPETENCE, INTERNATIONALIZATION COMPETENCE
Students are competent in describing the meaning of the concept health in nursing as one concept which guides their activities. Students will recognize factors which contribute to the health of individuals and families and to a healthy environment. Students will know how to utilize national and international health programmes to promote their clients' health.

People, health and environment in nursing. Development of individuals and and families and health. The health-illness cycle in the family. The complexity of health and health-related internal and external factors. Interacting with clients in health promotion. Decision-making in health promotion. National and international challenges in health promotion related to families' living environments.
