Academic calendar

Tuition at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences is given throughout a period of 10 months (ca. 40 weeks), starting in September. The courses offered as Summer School studies can be viewed on Seinäjoki UAS's website www.seamk.fi during the spring.

In October and February, most students have one week of independent study, during which contact teaching does not take place. There is also a two-week break at Christmas.

The Decree of Universities of Applied Sciences (16.6.2004/497) states that an average of 1600 hours of course work, which yields 60 credits, is required to complete a year of studies.

The students of Seinäjoki UAS can graduate as soon as their studies and other possible oblications are completed. However it is not possible to graduate in July. If a graduation ceremony will be held during academic year 2014-2015, it will be informed at intranet.
