Pedagogical approach
Work and require the expertise of a worker more and more data acquisition and data processing skills, teamwork skills, problem solving skills, continuous learning and the ability to combine different types of knowledge in practical work. Construction Site Management training emphasizes a constructivist view of learning in which students play an active role and a private world of experience is an important part of education. The teacher's task is to serve as a director of learning and study coordinator.
The course utilizes a variety of learning strategies to support the student's professional development and working life skills and vocational skills. Study includes group work, expert lectures, laboratory exercises, company visits, assignments, project work and practical training in real-world environments, professional life, as well as project studies to working life tasks.

- Building Construction
Construction is an important part of society's essential functions. Finland's national wealth is based on the built environment. Buildings and care for the environment is needed to house a modern building, economy, ecology, and international activities skilful and implementers.
Construction Management trains the construction site production planning and managerial positions, as well as the management of construction projects. Leading to qualifications to act as responsible supervisor of the same master. Provide jobs for construction companies, construction, real estate and public sector organizations. Employment in the construction is excellent, especially since the work of the leaders are in short supply.
Building the Master can become a foreman in charge, the building administrator, building inspector, site manager, project manager or technical director. Construction managers have also been established many significant construction companies and provide a basis for training in entrepreneurship.
Occupational profiles
Degree Programme in Construction Management aim is to provide the capability to construction work management. The training emphasize in labor management and site engineering. Some of the studies carried out in cooperation with companies as project studies and theses.
Tasks consists of all kinds of construction work management and production planning functions. This requires a building production professional, technical and financial expertise.
Construction Engineer works in cooperation with other parties in the construction project and is able to plan and manage new and existing construction execution drawings and specifications on the basis of taking into account the needs of the customer. He can also operate in other positions, as well as the construction of the property's maintenance expert. Foreman, he leads various phases of the construction site and is responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with the provisions. The job also includes work safety, schedule, quality and cost issues, as well as construction of environmental issues.
The training is to implement, in close co-operation with the construction companies. Basic and theoretical studies in addition to part of the studies carried out in cooperation with companies in a more operational project studies and theses.
Internationalization in the Degree Programme
The degree program is possible to carry out studies in international programs of shorter periods abroad or in whole semesters in the international partner institutions. In addition, job training, project studies and thesis can be done abroad.
Access to
further studies

Full time studies except in the adult education group where studies are multiform (part-time).
